TAYLOR & GRANT AND CHOCOLATE INN COMBINE TO FORM LEADING NORTH AMERICAN CONFECTIONERY AND GIFTS SUPPLIER
FREEPORT, NY; WATERLOO, ON On June 7, 2011, Chocolate Inn, Ltd. (“Chocolate Inn”) (ASI: 44900; UPIC: chocinn; SAGE: 50684), a leading custom chocolate, confectionery and gift manufacturer to the promotional products industry, and Taylor & Grant Specialties Limited (“Taylor & Grant”) (ASI 90667; UPIC:foodgift), a leading Canadian manufacturer of mints, wrapped candies, chocolates and food gifts, announced they have reached a definitive agreement to combine their business operations.
The combined company will feature an extensive assortment of manufactured food products – mints, chocolates, confectionery, wrapped candies and food gifts– coupled with an extensive range of imprinting capabilities to meet distributors’ year-round needs.

The transaction marks Chocolate Inn’s first major strategic growth initiative since July 2010, when Chocolate Inn announced its strategic partnership with Nassau Candy, the largest specialty confectionery distributor in the United States, a leading North American confectionery and snack manufacturer, and a leading national gourmet foods importer and distributor.
